Meet the Risk Management Department


Simona Cardwell
Director

Simona Cardwell was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. She began working in 1988 for State Farm Insurance in their Life Company division. From there she moved to the monthly billing department where she served customer service needs involving all lines of insurance. After State Farm moved their regional office out of Oregon, she accepted the position of office manager at Livingstone Adventist Academy where she enjoyed working with the staff and students. In May 2013 she joined the Risk Management department as administrative assistant. In March 2016 Simona accepted the invitation to serve as Departmental Director for Risk Management. Some of the things she enjoys are, spending time with her husband, 3 children and 3 dogs, run/walking 5 and 10K fun runs, spending time at the Oregon Coast, and leading a ladies Bible study at her church.


Wendy Kessler
Administrative Assistant

Wendy Kessler started her career in workers’ compensation insurance. From there she moved on to work in the Legal Department at Hyster Company defending product liability litigations. Once she and her husband had two children, they decided that having Wendy be at home full-time was the best option for their family. In 2011, she went back to work full-time running the office at Hammar’s Uniform and in 2014, she went to work at Righteous Clothing Agency as a National Accounts Manager.
